The exterior is finished in supple black leather with the natural depth and softly matte character of shearling, while the interior reveals the plush fur side of the hide, creating a coat that is shearling-lined by construction rather than conventionally fabric-lined. The dense black fur continues visibly around the oversized collar, cuffs and hem, framing the silhouette and giving the otherwise streamlined design a rich, tactile finish.
Cut to approximately mid-thigh with a fitted, architectural shape, the coat is constructed from multiple leather panels and finished with tonal leather bands tracing the waist, sleeves and lower body. Subtle stitched geometric detailing across the shoulders adds another layer of craftsmanship, while adjustable leather buckle straps at the collar and cuffs introduce a slightly utilitarian, almost aviator-inspired character.
At the centre is perhaps its most striking Versace signature: an asymmetric full-length metal zip finished with an elaborate Medusa-head pull, rendered in contrasting gold and silver tones. The Medusa motif transforms an otherwise functional fastening into jewellery for the garment — unmistakably Versace without relying on overt branding. Additional Versace detailing appears inside, including the black-and-gold Medusa label and decorative metal Versace plaque.
The coat can be worn fully fastened for a sculpted, high-neck silhouette or partially unzipped to open the shearling collar and reveal more of its plush interior.
